    Do the original leaves die while the plant develops roots and then create new leaves? I did this and the leaves look like they are dying even though they are in moist soil and in the shade. Thanks!

    • @LearnToGrow1
      @LearnToGrow1 5 днів тому

      Hi! Sometimes that can happen during the rooting process via transpiration or water loss through the leaves. Make sure the soil drains well so they don’t rot, but keep it moderately moist.

    It's hard to be cross with the garden pests when they're so cute. My neighborhood was the site of an unwanted bunny dumping some decades back, and they've been joined by others over the years. At any given moment, there is at least one in our yard. The fences largely keep them out of the garden unless they're really small. There's a big white one that'll grab my hands with her teeth and pull me where she wants me to leave food. They can't be petted, but we can walk almost right up to them as long as we have something for them to eat.

      I agree…I intentionally leave patches of weeds for them so they leave the garden alone. They like grass too and dwarf mallow that grow wildly. Fortunately, we also have several native plants.

    Will it still be okay to sow it if it has already sprouted? Should the leaves be exposed to the air and sunlight already?

    My garden also has chives and sage next to each other, and trying to water them is always a little nerve-wracking. A couple feet from them is a giant thyme shrub, and a lupine that is trying to engulf a small seaberry tree. That whole end of my garden is just a deafening buzz of small but chunky bumblebees.

    • @LearnToGrow1
      @LearnToGrow1 11 днів тому

      Hi! You can put mulch so you won’t have to water as often. I rarely water them since they’re established, unless we have a drought, and I only water the chives if I have to. I’m so glad to hear the bees are enjoying them, nice work! 🐝💜🌿

      Do your bees like cannabis?

    • @froginprogress8510
      @froginprogress8510 11 днів тому

      @@chinatownboy7482 I have absolutely no idea. I think cannabis is usually wind-pollinated, so bees probably wouldn't care for it too much, but I don't actually have experience with beekeeping or growing that sort of greenery. Okay, so I spoke with someone who has experience with both. Here's what they said. "Like? Idk. Use and make honey out of like any other flower? Yes. Through their process they actually carboxylate the cannabinoids so that unlike just eating the raw flower, the honey will actually get you high."

    I have a question. Sometimes at Project Tree Collard, you can see some purple tree collards that are short, very bushy and crawling on the ground and thereby re-rooting themselves. How come mine doesn’t crawl around on the ground itself to re-root? I want them to re-root in a similar spot instead of taking cuttings & having to find another spot for them. Now I keep mine short and bushy at just 2 or 3 feet but my PTCs still don’t crawl downwards. They stand up like normal erect bushes, unfortunately. Any ideas what I have done wrong?
