Planting Summer Flowering Bulbs for the Pollinators!
It's hard to be cross with the garden pests when they're so cute. My neighborhood was the site of an unwanted bunny dumping some decades back, and they've been joined by others over the years. At any given moment, there is at least one in our yard. The fences largely keep them out of the garden unless they're really small. There's a big white one that'll grab my hands with her teeth and pull me where she wants me to leave food. They can't be petted, but we can walk almost right up to them as long as we have something for them to eat.
Caught red handed lol
@victorybeginsinthegarden 😁
I agree…I intentionally leave patches of weeds for them so they leave the garden alone. They like grass too and dwarf mallow that grow wildly. Fortunately, we also have several native plants.
I saw a spider on the wall in the hatch scene 😅
The chive and sage flowers are really very pretty. They are also nice herbs to spice up your food. Looks like the bees really like them! Great close up of those fuzzy little bees! 🐝 ❤
Thanks Mary! They sure do and really help with pollinating the fruit crops! Have a great weekend!❤️☺️
Will it still be okay to sow it if it has already sprouted? Should the leaves be exposed to the air and sunlight already?
Saw we used in this video Samurai Ichiban: amzn.to/3VFPFMB
What is the saw used in the video? Link please?
Hi! It's a Samurai Ichiban saw, here's the link: amzn.to/4chD8oe Thanks for watching!
My bayleaf Cutting from last year has rooted and remained green, however I am not seeing any new growth this season yet. Is it just a matter of waiting for can I somehow encourage new growth?
Thank you!!!
You’re welcome!
Thanks! I went right out and pulled up the flowering potato plants. Lots of nice potatoes were attached to the roots.
That’s great to hear! You’re welcome!☺️
My garden also has chives and sage next to each other, and trying to water them is always a little nerve-wracking. A couple feet from them is a giant thyme shrub, and a lupine that is trying to engulf a small seaberry tree. That whole end of my garden is just a deafening buzz of small but chunky bumblebees.
Hi! You can put mulch so you won’t have to water as often. I rarely water them since they’re established, unless we have a drought, and I only water the chives if I have to. I’m so glad to hear the bees are enjoying them, nice work! 🐝💜🌿
Do your bees like cannabis?
@@chinatownboy7482 I have absolutely no idea. I think cannabis is usually wind-pollinated, so bees probably wouldn't care for it too much, but I don't actually have experience with beekeeping or growing that sort of greenery. Okay, so I spoke with someone who has experience with both. Here's what they said. "Like? Idk. Use and make honey out of like any other flower? Yes. Through their process they actually carboxylate the cannabinoids so that unlike just eating the raw flower, the honey will actually get you high."
Thank you for the great video helping me in my first garden!!!
You’re welcome and I hope you have a wonderful season! 💚
Pity, the Grandpa’s version in UK has no pole!
I have a question. Sometimes at Project Tree Collard, you can see some purple tree collards that are short, very bushy and crawling on the ground and thereby re-rooting themselves. How come mine doesn’t crawl around on the ground itself to re-root? I want them to re-root in a similar spot instead of taking cuttings & having to find another spot for them. Now I keep mine short and bushy at just 2 or 3 feet but my PTCs still don’t crawl downwards. They stand up like normal erect bushes, unfortunately. Any ideas what I have done wrong?
They taste great if sautéed with lots of garlic in organic coconut oil together with carrots. My mum used to cook kale with garlic, brandy and some sugar!
oooh noooo that is why my coffe always tast garlic
What time of year do you plant these?
Hi, I plant them in spring or early fall.
Hello, okay, I'm from Brazil, I would like to know about her treatment, can you help me, if she likes cold or hot weather, if she needs a lot of water, can you help me in this regard, if I have a plant at all?
Great training ❤❤
What kind of soil does the mango needs?
So cute😮😮😮
Definitely rhubarb ❤
So pretty!😍
Ipudu e seasonlo vesyocha
Your up-speak is killing me
The questions are “how much” and “how often” and “for what ailments”?

Thanks for watching brother! 🙏🏽💚
What seeds were they?
Hi they’re Patty Pan or Scallop summer squash. You can order seeds here and save 10%: Sow Right Seeds 10% off code learntogrow10 and FREE shipping on orders $25+: sowrightseeds.com/?ref=0pcvNkRO
Nice! I plant a raspberry plant for the first time this year. It's about a foot in height now. Hoping that it will mature and bear fruits before November.
Thanks! If it’s an everbearing one it may produce some this fall!
I hope it's one of those everbearing ones. I will find out.
If so, they’ll fruit on the primocane or first year canes on the top portion in late summer through fall and again the following summer in the lower part of the canes. Sometimes new plants may need a whole year to establish.
🎵walk like an Egyptian…onion🎵
😁
Those look amazing 🤤
Thank you so much!☺️
They look delicious! Hope you get a lot this year!👍
Thanks Mary and you too! 😍
What was that seed added
Hi those are myceliated grains inoculated with mushroom mycelium, referred to as grain spawn.
Mesilla!! Can’t wait to see these at various stages!!!! 🎉
Hi Carol, I'll make sure to do updates! :)
🎉

Rhubarb Anyone have knowledge on what to do with them or when to/not to pull them
Hi, I left one of the flower stalks on to save some seeds, but it’s best to remove it once it emerges to redirect the energy to produce more stalks instead of seeds.
Please come again
Is it important for the pot to have drainage?
Hi Laura, Yes, the pot should have drainage holes. Thanks for watching!
Oh wow I’ve never seen something like that! Not a huge fan of spiders but I know they are good to have around. And these are so little and cool! Thanks for catching it on camera and sharing with us! Creation is amazing!
They’re adorable! Glad you enjoyed it Mary! Have a wonderful week! ☺️💚
I've actually heard that you should throw the leaves into the garbage - not the compost, as they will kill all the good bacteria within with their toxicity.
Beautiful😅
Thank you😍
Beautiful 🤩
Thank you 🥰
Befriend them and they'll never bite you
So cute. Just in time for aphid season.
Yes! ☺️
Alhamdulillah
So cute
They sure are!🥰
Wow that is gorgeous! I am intrigued to know!
They’re rhubarb seeds.☺️
@@LearnToGrow1 That’s really cool. Google definitely doesn’t show anything beautiful like that. Thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome! Have a great day!
yellow dock
Rhubarb, but same family. ☺️
Just planted some. Didn't think it was gonna come up, but now there are seedlings in crazy amounts. Pretty sure every single seed germinated. Pretty excited to have some Leeks this year. I was always an onion lover, so this was the natural next step. 😅
Awesome! Have you looked into walking onions? They’re perennials and you can use them like scallions and the small bulbs taste similar to shallots. ☺️
